Friday Family Film Night: PSYCHO GORMAN review
Description
On night 10 of our #31DaysToHalloween the Mister joins me in reviewing PSYCHO GOREMAN (2020), from writer/director Steven Kostanski. While playing a bizarre backyard game, siblings Mimi (Nita-Josée Hanna) and Luke (Owen Myre) accidentally unearth a glowing gem and release an ancient, malevolent alien overlord they dub "Psycho Goreman" (PG). Mimi discovers the gem gives her absolute power over the world-destroyer, forcing the hulking alien to begrudgingly become her personal plaything and do her often-petty bidding. Their bizarre suburban life is soon interrupted when an intergalactic warrior, Pandora, arrives on Earth to destroy PG and secure the gem, leading to a ridiculous and bloody final confrontation with the fate of the galaxy at stake. The film clocks in at 1 h and 35 m, is not rated and we watched it on the Hoopla app but you can also find it on AMC+ and to buy/rent on Prime Video. Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
