Giving Birth In a Portuguese Public Hospital As An Expat
Description
Welcome to today's episode of What We Tell Our Daughters! Today, it's just you and me and the story of giving birth in a Portuguese Public Hospital.
This is the story of a woman who had every intention of having a home water birth, in our beautiful peaceful room, with snacks, my amazing midwives, and my husband by my side. Life had very different plans for me - in fact the complete opposite of what I had hoped for.
I share this story to help you understand what the Portuguese Public Hospital system is like for pregnant women. I share my to-dos and not-to-dos and what I would do differently if I were to do it all again.
Let's dive in! 🎧 If you have questions or follow-ups you’d like to hear more about, please comment and I’d love to talk more with you.
