A good read. Good to see the author get back on track and get to the story! This book was so much more enjoyable to read - much more than the last couple.

More joy
While there are some dark historical episodes that will have you holding your breath until they resolve, there is more joy and celebration in "Looking to the Future" than in earlier books. I am so grateful to the "pushy women" of the 1800s who worked so tirelessly for the rights we are able to enjoy today. Not just the right to vote, but the right to just be who we are; the right to be safe and happy in a relationship; the right to walk away from a relationship and live an independent life . . . Rights my Oma never knew, or could only dream of. Thank you, Ginny Dye, for bringing this part of history to life.

This is actually the first one that I have not cried in, even though the prison part was bad. I loved your story, you must have wonderful dreams! I'm always so excited knowing you will write another, it's like getting a big gift. Thank you so much Ginny, it means more than you know because I just got my eyesight back and fighting to keep it. I started reading you book at school when we had DEAR TIME, which is Drop Everything and Read and when I turned around later in the day it was gone. I was so upset because you had autographed it for me. Luckily enough I had it put on my computer and my e-book so I could finish it, right now I just haven't had the time. Your books are ones that once I start it i can't put it down.Thank you.

Another Winner from Ginny Dye
In this 11th book in the Bregdan Chronicles, I again wish I could go directly from Number 11 into Number 12. The wait to see how my favorite characters are doing seems endless. Thankfully, Ginny Dye is a prolific writer & I won't have long to wait. Her characters continue to evolve & are fleshed-out to the point you could recognize them in line at the grocery store!
