Men's Health Month and Identifying the Real Problem
Description
Since November is Men's Health Awareness month, I felt that I needed to address the real issues that men face into today's society. Men's Health month fails to actually care about men and does not really recognize why suicide rates amongst men are so much higher than women. The root problem we face as men is not our inability to talk about our issues, but that the fact that so many men are struggling with these issues in the first place. Masculinity is core part of every man, but it is so often portrayed as toxic and dangerous. This is wrong and is leading to men feeling lost and unable to follow their natural instincts. Men are struggling, and I'm here to tell you why and give you resources to help you learn more about this struggle and what you can do to improve and avoid struggling with these mental health issues that are so common.
