Publisher's Summary:
Feisty New Yorker Kimberly Long runs the most popular chick-lit book blog on the web, loves playing house with her sexy lawyer boyfriend, Nicholas, and is finally pursuing her lifelong dream of becoming a published author. At first glance, her life is worthy of five pink champagne flutes. But is there more to the story than meets the eye?
After hearing the phrase "chick lit is dead" more times than she's read The Devil Wears Prada, Kim is driven to desperate measures, seeking advice from up-and-coming chick-lit author Hannah Marshak, her high school nemesis and resident "mean girl". As if Kim doesn't have enough on her plate balancing her secretarial duties with her blog, Pastel is the New Black, shrugging off the growing pile of agent rejections, and keeping her best friend from turning green over Kim's budding friendship with Hannah, Nicholas is so blinded by his career ambitions, he doesn't see that their home sweet home could use more than a dash of sugar.
This is the year when all of Kim's dreams - professional and romantic - are supposed to come true, but will her story have a happily ever after or will Kim end up unpublished and all alone?

I adored this sequel!
What can I say about how awesome this book is? The further adventures of Kim Long are laugh-out-loud hilarious, her sexy boyfriend, Nicholas seems even hotter in this sequel, and I legit want to claw the eyes out of coworker/nemesis Daneen.
I love books that give me strong emotions and really make me feel for and root for the characters. [author:Meredith Schorr|4355520] does just that. She can write characters and situations that hook you in the heart and take you for a ride.
In the first book, [book:Blogger Girl|33002919], just when you thought the nemesis was going to be high school queen Bee Hannah Marshak, we're introduced to the adult equivalent in Daneen, a lawyer with a severe personality disorder.
I seriously think I hated this antagonist more in the second go-round if that's possible. She was just so vicious, but in a way that only women can be. Ladies, be nice, mmmkay? Her plotting, her scheming, and her straight up holier-than-thou attitude against aspiring writers is just obnoxious. Isn't that what we want in an antagonist, though?
Despite Daneen, Kim's journey from blogger to novelist had so many ups and downs it made me wonder if her dreams would ever come true, both professionally and personally, and I enjoyed the roller coaster. This rollercoaster almost made me happy cry when I finished.
Such a great book and I highly recommend it! Please read it! So good!
Delightful and Entertaining
I'm a tried and true chick-lit fan, and Novelista is A-list. It's got all the ingredients that makes a great book, but I won't re-tell the story as I'm sure other reviewers have conveyed alot about the storyline and characters. The story is seamless, the writiing witty, the characters easy and fun to love... or disparage. I'm not a fan of sequels or serials, but I loved Blogger Girl and was thrilled to know it was being followed with this book. This is a story is about believing in yourself and following your dreams. The story is nothing if not funny with some -laugh -out loud moments . I really admire Kim's sass and spunk and think women will easily be able to identify with her.
