Overcoming The Challenge of Speaking on Video with Michelle Daides
Description
As introverts, we’re quite comfortable having one-on-one conversations or video calls. But terror strikes when we’re the one speaking to an audience of many, whether in a recorded or live video.
Michelle Daides is my guest on today’s episode. She addresses the common fears we quiet souls experience putting ourselves in front of the camera and hitting the “go live” or record button. This anxiety stems from putting the emphasis on our “performance” when, in reality, it should be less about us and more about the value in what we’re communicating to serve our viewers. They want to learn something from you. They’re not looking to be entertained. That’s the job of professional actors.
Michelle offers a ton of excellent advice in this episode to help us prepare mentally and physically to show up confidently and authentically on video. You can do it! No previous acting experience required.
