NEWS OF THE WEIRD:

➢ A TV news helicopter crew spotted a boy who had been reported missing – but he was actually on the roof of his apartment building — playing hooky. The 9-year-old left his Brooklyn NY apartment at around 7am, but didn’t show up at school. His parents called cops, who put out a description of the missing child. The CBS TV station sent a helicopter to the scene and a reporter spotted the boy on the rooftop of his family’s building. Station employees called police, and the helicopter crew hovered overhead until they arrived. (And now that kid knows exactly how Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s kid is gonna feel on HER first day of school – if they ever have one!)

➢ A couple just wanted to eke out some quality time together, but it ended going horribly wrong when their vehicle rolled into a river. A Philadelphia police spokesperson said the two were “enjoying each other’s company” in the early hours of Aug. 28, before the car entered the water. Cops believe the pair was “getting busy” when the vehicle was accidentally shifted into gear. Both were able to escape the vehicle before it rolled into the water, and they were unharmed. They have not been identified by police.

Rude grocery store habits you should avoid

Ah, the grocery store, a central hub for all things delicious and nutritious but grocery stores attract, well, everyone—people need to eat! That being said, grocery stores get busy, and shoppers’ time (and patience) can get crunched.

Before you know it, you’re seeing people abandon those essential grocery shopping etiquette rules.

Leaving your cart in the parking lot.

Leaving the checkout line to grab another item.

Blocking the aisle with your cart.

Cutting the line.

Encroaching on anyone else’s personal space.

Gaming the express lane.

Letting your kids misbehave.

Not putting items you no longer want back where they belong.

Sampling food (unless its actually offered)

Helping yourself to your haul before paying. (Walmart chicken, thats why you get a receipt, so when your done shopping you can pick it up on your way out.

Last one, is simply being rude or inconsiderate in any other way.
