Homeschool Burn-out and feeling like a constant failure almost drove this mama of TheHalfDozen to the edge of depression, forcing her to do something she said she would NEVER DO; UNSCHOOL!!

As a result of her experiences, Karema Akilah founded The Genius School, consults parents through the Deschooling process; decolonizing parenting and creating a new paradigm for relating to children.

In response to the pandemic, Karema Akilah created The Genius Group; a tutoring service with a TWIST, providing tutoring in weaknesses and coaching in a Learners strengths or Genius!! She believes in a world where all kids know their Genius and serves others with it generously!
