Episode 36 – From Words to Worlds: Life in Draft Mode

In this episode, I sit down with an incredibly talented guest — a freelance copywriter specializing in movies, a poet, a movie producer, and the admin of the Phoenix Tsotan’s Diary Facebook page. She wears so many hats it’s almost unfair.

We kicked things off with her brand-new daily routine as she dives into the freelance writing world — a lifestyle that’s as exciting as it is unpredictable. From there, we went way back into her childhood memories: what kind of kid she was, how she first realized she was good at writing, and the moment she thought, Maybe I could even act… or produce movies.

Our talk then branched into society, the environment, and how people engage with one another. We explored why she chose her profession as a political scientist  and how her university years shaped the way she thinks. She also opened up about why she started writing in-depth reviews of movies and books — something she’s practically mastered at this point.

One of the deepest parts of our conversation was about mental health — the struggles, the lessons, and how her journey to Japan became a turning point during a battle with depression. She spoke openly about her experiences there, and the kind of self-discovery that only comes when you’re far from home and forced to face yourself.

Of course, we couldn’t skip talking about love. Her perspective on relationships between men and women was refreshingly honest, and one story stuck with me: “Even if there’s no one to love you, you can still love yourself. You can even hug yourself.” Beautiful.

We wrapped up with her future plans, dreams, bucket list goals, and some wild “what-if” questions that led us into pure imagination territory. This episode is a mix of personal stories, societal insight, and those little moments that make you stop and think.
