In this episode, Uju shares how she quickly settled in America after relocating from Nigeria to join her husband, We discussed why some Nigerian men abroad like to marry nurses & some of those marriages fail amongst other topics. Uju is a wife, mom of 3 kids, a physical therapist (PT) & a business owner. She shared her immigrant journey/experience of moving from Nigeria to the US upon graduation from university in Nigeria where she studied physical therapy. We talked about adjusting to life in America as a new immigrant, the struggles, challenges and culture shock she experienced, etc. We also talked about why some African (Nigerian) men love to marry nurses for financial reasons and why those marriages fail after relocating abroad. She jokes about times when men living abroad hit on her because they thought she was a nurse and how she navigated that.
