Southern California Surf Report: Mellow Waves, Moderate Rip Currents from Malibu to San Luis Obispo This Weekend

Surf's up, beach lovers! We're diving into the coastal conditions from Malibu to San Luis Obispo. Today's looking like a mellow surfing day with some sweet swell action.
Malibu and Los Angeles County beaches are serving up 2 to 4 foot waves with a mixed south and west swell. Water temps are sitting pretty at a comfortable 67 to 70 degrees. Just be aware - we've got a moderate rip current risk, so keep those surf skills sharp and stay alert.
Ventura County's looking super similar with matching 2 to 4 foot waves and water temps slightly cooler around 63 to 65 degrees. Again, moderate rip current conditions mean you'll want to respect the ocean's mood.
For our Santa Barbara surfers, things are a bit more chill. We're seeing smaller 1 to 3 foot waves with a pure west swell and water temps hovering around a brisk 60 degrees. Rip current risk is low, so beginners might find this a more forgiving playground.
Up north in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara's central coast, you've got some serious wave action brewing - 3 to 6 foot swells that'll get the adrenaline pumping! Water temps are cooler at 55 to 57 degrees, so consider a wetsuit.
Tides are doing their dance all day with multiple low and high points. Morning low tide hits around 4:30 AM with the highest tide rolling in late evening around 10 PM.
