Description
Surf's up, beach lovers! Let's dive into today's coastal conditions along Southern California's stunning shoreline.
Calling all wave riders and beach enthusiasts - we've got a moderate rip current situation brewing from Malibu to Santa Barbara. So listen up and stay alert!
Malibu and Los Angeles County beaches are serving up a sweet 2 to 4 foot surf with a mixed swell party featuring south and north wave action. Water temps are sitting pretty at a comfortable 69 to 73 degrees - perfect for catching some rays and riding some waves.
Ventura County's looking similar with the same 2 to 4 foot surf and moderate rip current risk. Water's a touch cooler at 66 to 68 degrees, but still totally manageable for water sports.
For our Santa Barbara surfers, things are a bit mellower. Expect smaller 1 to 3 foot waves with a low rip current risk. The water's hovering around 66 to 68 degrees - not bad for a morning paddle.
Up the coast at San Luis Obispo, things are getting more exciting with 3 to 5 foot swells. Just be aware those water temps are dropping to a chilly 53 to 55 degrees - wetsuit recommended!
Tides are looking active today with multiple high and low points. Morning low tide hits around 6:50 AM, with the highest tide rolling in around 1:30 PM.
No thunderstorm threats mean clear skies for beach time. Whether you're surfing, swimming, or just soaking up the sun, stay smart, watch those currents, and enjoy the epic California coastline!
Catch you on the waves!
