Description

“Fall in love with the pain. As soon as you do you can focus on the process.”

– Daniel Kasidi

Positivity is a universal language. One that we all intuitively speak. And one that needs to be shared widely in our world today.

Daniel Kasidi has made it his mission to spread positivity and has been doing so with his brand Rastaclat for years.

Rastaclat is a symbol of righteousness, doing good for yourself and others. The company believes that positive action can change lives, inspire confidence & unite us as human beings. They encourage their pride to seek the positive. And they just so happen to make incredibly stylish bracelets.

The movement has spread to 50 countries and can be found on 8 million wrists — and counting.

Daniel Kasidi was born in Kenya and moved to Orange Country in California with his family when he was only 5 years old. The youngest of 3, Daniel was inspired by his older brother to try skateboarding — a sport that required very little money and support from others and that bred creativity and independence. He quickly got noticed and shoe companies started sponsoring his talent. Every pair of shoe received meant a ton of shoelaces. And in a moment of boredom, the Rastaclat bracelet was born….

I met Daniel a few months ago while he was in Quebec for a retreat with a group of dedicated entrepreneurs. I had the chance to teach this energetic group a yoga class and quickly learned what a kind and humble man Daniel is. When hearing the story of the beautiful brand and its message, I knew I needed to introduce you to this humble entrepreneur who’s created a movement around the world.  A movement that is much needed.

In this episode, we talk about everything from:

  • The power of meditation

  • What skateboarding taught Daniel about failing and in turn, succeeding

  • The value of boredom and how Daniel created what would become a global brand from being bored

  • Embracing what’s hard

  • The importance of taking action, educating yourself, and spreading positivity in the world.

Hope you’re ready because you’re gonna want to take notes for this one!
