Description

The Pittsburgh Steelers have re-signed offensive lineman Doug Nester to their practice squad, addressing their tackle shortage due to injuries. Nester, a 25-year-old, 67 320-pound lineman, played in three preseason games for the Steelers last season and has experience at both tackle and guard. With starting left tackle Broderick Jones and backup Calvin Anderson out, and Andrus Peat in concussion protocol, Nester could be elevated to the main roster. The Steelers also added veteran tackle David Sharpe to the practice squad.
