Steve Hayes was a high school standout in the state of Idaho. He went on to play for Idaho State where he led the Big Sky in both scoring and rebounding. He is Idaho States all time leader in rebounds and blocks. He is also 2nd all time in scoring. He is a 3x 1st Team All-Big Sky selection and he led his team to victory over UCLA which is known as one of the biggest upsets in NCAA tournament history. Steve was the 76th overall pick in the 1977 NBA Draft where he had a successful career in the NBA, EBA, CBA and Overseas. He was named CBA MVP and a CBA Champion during his time in that league. Steve shares great stories on growing up in Idaho, Idaho State, upsetting UCLA, journey to NBA, George Gervin, Larry Bird, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, MJ, Julius Erving, Charles Barkley, Moses Malone, experiences overseas and MUCH more!
