Description
Carson City is represented on the show today. Coach Vince Inglima is in the house! Coach Inglima takes time to share his playing and coaching journey in an episode that will give young athletes (from our area especially) the vision to expand their future in hoops beyond high school.
Vince Inglima attended Carson High School. He was a late bloomer going from a backup guard on the Freshman team to earning Sierra League Player of the Year as a Senior. He went on to have a Hall of Fame Career at Sonoma State. Inglima earned CCAA Male Athlete of the Year, All-West Region, and All-American honors. He also holds the school record for career 3-point percentage (44.6) and is third in free throw percentage (82.5). Inglima was an Academic All-American, and was awarded Academic All-District by ESPN The Magazine. Vince helped lead his team to winning the CCAA for the first time in school history. He was inducted into the Sonoma State Athletics Hall of Fame in 2012. He also played professionally in Australia before jumping into the coaching world where he is currently the Head Coach at San Fransisco State. Vince shares great stories about Carson High School, David Padgett, Jeff Rowe, Sonoma State, experiences in Australia, Joe Ingles, CJ Massingale, coaching, San Francisco State and MUCH more!
Big thanks to Coach Inglima for taking the time to share his journey in hoops with us today. This is such a great example of hard work paying off whether you want to be a great high school basketball player, continue on to the next level as a player, or find your way as a coach. We know you’ll all enjoy this one!
Thank you Coach Vince Inglima!
