The Music Journal Podcast is a show that documents trending musical events and topics as they happen. Our host, Wes Yee is a music producer and artist, himself. Because of this he’s been able to build an extremely broad network of amazing artists, musicians and people in the industry, and on this show he brings some of them on to chat about not only the trends, but also how you can apply them to your own career if you’re an aspiring music producer or artist.

If you follow the drama in music, specifically hip hop, at all, then you've probably heard the name Dame Ritter. He co founded the label Funk Volume with Hopsin, which was incredibly successful until the two of them had a fall out.

Hopsin has a viral series on the internet, which he calls the Ill Mind Of Hopsin, and if you've heard Ill Mind Of Hopsin 8, then you know who Dame Ritter is.

I'm honored to have Dame on the podcast and hear his side of the story. Because Hopsin has built such a name for himself and his brand, while Dame was mostly working behind the scenes of Funk Volume, most people only know Hopsin's side of the story. 

From talking to Dame, I can tell he's a very intelligent and well-intentioned public figure. He currently runs the Music Entrepreneur Club, which he's partnered with Kato On The Track's Beat Club. He manages the artist Futuristic, and does tons of other amazing stuff.
