A man sabotages his girlfriend's father's important work event, only to reveal he did it to protect him from getting caught up in a scandal.

Episode Summary:

At David's CIA work function, a nervous David struggles to connect with his boss Rob to pitch for a promotion. Troy surprisingly hits it off with Rob, leaving David in the dust. Just as David tries to make his case to Rob, Troy repeatedly interferes, sinking David's chances.

A furious David accuses Troy of angling for his job. But Troy reveals he found out Rob is being investigated and stopped David from joining his tainted unit to save his career. As thanks, David makes Troy an official member of his family's Circle of Love club. Though their rivalry persists, Troy has proven he cares enough to have David's back when it counted.
