Description

“Learning happens through relationships.” - Erika Haskins

As technology evolves, how we interact with it and with each other fundamentally changes. With the rise of ChatGPT and the knowledge and insights of the collective at our fingertips, how does the role of the human educator change? Ultimately, a new opportunity is created for teachers and education systems to shift the focus from access to information and lean into the power of relationships in growth, learning, and challenging people.

Today I'm quite pleased to be joined by Erika Haskins, an experienced educator, community builder, and social innovator. She has over 15 years of experience working with coaching entrepreneurs and startup teams, facilitating community-led design, and as part of the launch of over 80 education and EdTech ventures. Erika is a certified Entrepreneurial Mindset Profile assessment practitioner and brings this expertise to bear in all of her programs.

In this conversation, Erika and I discuss her journey from the farm to the city, where her interest in EdTech developed, the importance of relationships in education and business, the evolution of technology in public education, the role of teachers and artificial intelligence in learning, why inclusive innovation is crucial for unlocking value in technology, and more.
