Prof. Karen Avraham, Human Molecular Genetics Biochemistry

Prof. Karen Avraham, who was born and raised in North America, is the first female Dean of TAU’s esteemed Faculty of Medical & Health Sciences, overseeing the operations of a major training and research institution in Israel. The faculty is responsible for the training of health care practitioners and researchers, with over 5K students.

Sarah and Felix Dumont Chair for Research of Hearing Disorders and is a member of the Sagol School of Neuroscience, the Safra Center for Bioinformatics and the Jan Koum Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.
