Description

Jeff Knapp, Semiconductor Sales and Business Development Executive, at Ideal Power, a company that is pioneering the development and commercialization of its patented bidirectional semiconductor power switch joins the Green Business Podcast.

Listen to host Eric Dye & guest Jeff Knapp discuss the following:

* Several months ago we had Ideal Power’s CEO, Dan Brdar, on our show and it was interesting to hear about the important technology from Ideal Power. It’s a bi-directional semiconductor that’s helping to drive (no pun intended) adoption of EVs, right? Can you refresh listeners with a recap of what Ideal Power does and what the product is used for?

* We read two announcements from Ideal Power late last week. The first is that Ideal Power announced a collaboration with its  third global automaker. Can you tell us more about this and why it’s important? Give us some insights as to why those interested in green business should pay attention to this news.

* The second announcement was that Ideal Power announced a global distribution agreement with RYOSHO U.S.A. Congratulations on that news. Can you tell us a bit more? Give us some insights as to what this means for Ideal Power, for the future of EVs and other applications, and any background that you’d like to share.

* We read that there’s been a bumpy ride with EVs in terms of consumer demand and also some challenges with automakers. How is Ideal Power part of the solution? To make it easier for our listeners, can you give us an example of other technologies that are popular now that took time to develop, set standards and consolidate?

* Stellantis N.V. is a multinational automotive manufacturing corporation. They make brands that we know well like Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Trucks, and other makers that are in Europe and around the world. Can you give us a quick overview of what that relationship is and any news that we should be looking forward to?
