Towards a new paradigm: Leadership versus Management
Description
***Brief description***
Being a manager is a very rational role. A manager is a head or a mind. An analist, who needs an ability to see an organisation as a whole (conceptual skill) and design a system that will respond well to a whole list of challenges that an organisation will face.
To be a leader is very different. It comes will interpersonal challenges. If manager is a mind, leader is a soul or a heart. Can you encourage people to be responsible? Can you motivate them? Can you join them together under a common purpose? And … do you want to? Is this the challenge for you? Is this something that motivates you?
***A short note***
I want to add a brief appologies, especially to any french speaking audience, for butchering some french pronounciations in this video. Namely, a title Administration industrielle et générale, and an author of a document, a frenchman Henri Fayol.
As you may know (or hear in videos), I am using Murf text-to-speech tools and pronounciation I got came out a bil sloppy.
