Towards a new paradigm: Two meanings of being a leader
Description
***Brief description***
In my content I am cosidering a well determined meaning of a designation “being a leader”. I am not talking about someone that people want to emulate in whatever way, but a leader that does a leadership role in an organisation.
In this way of perceiving it, leadership is not about being a high performer and not even about climbing a career ladder to a leadership role. It is rather about knowing and having the skill of how to build a well-functioning working environment, a good climate, foster and capitalise on motivation (and not smother it like it happens with many unskilled leaders).
In words of a scientist from a filed of psychology: “Skilled leaders solve problems. Unskilled try to as well, but end up creating them.”
