Description
Since the inception of school resource officers, there have been no defined roles or guidelines for their interaction with students or staff. In recent years more states have taken action to limit their roles in responding to school discipline issues.
Recently a New Jersey school resource officer became engaged in a physical struggle with two students and a school staff member who attempted to stop the officer from assaulting the students.
This resulted in the suspension of the officer and pending investigation to determine if he keeps his job. In light of this, there are those who believe that "they got what they deserved for resisting", yet can't nor won't address the facts relative to the issue of police brutality. Let's put this puppy to bed!!!
