Two football Whippets named to 4A All-State team
Description
Two Kosciusko Whippets football players have been named to the Mississippi Association of Coaches 4A All-State team.
Defensive back Jaquavous “PJ” Pace and defensive tackle Reggie Carter earned honors for their defensive performances in the 2023 season.
Pace was named to the 1st Team Defense while Carter made the 2nd Team Defense.
During the 2023 season, Pace had 38 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, and two interceptions.
Carter led the team in sacks (5) and tackles for loss (12). He was also second on the team in total tackles with 73 and had a fumble recovery for a touchdown.
Both Pace and Carter have offers to play college football, but neither has announced a decision on where they plan to sign.
