With Father Joe having three funerals this week, we are faced with the trauma of loss and suffering we have experienced over the past year. What do we make of the darkness that we encounter, and how can we look to the resurrection as a possible hope and light for those of us who desperately need it. Father Joe and Father Rix share their thoughts on the Gospel of Mark when Jesus calls his disciples to wear only tunics and sandals, giving everything else up. Hard as it may be, it is possible, but only through community can this hope be fully realized.
