Description

As the world tries to balance out the increase in atmospheric carbon through mechanisms such as carbon-offsets and green hydrogen schemes as well as land being converted for industrial-scale agriculture, we’re seeing a worrying trend that’s directly impacting the African continent. Lester Kiewit speaks to Professor Ruth Hall of the University of the Western Cape’s Institute for Poverty, Land and Agrarian Studies (PLAAS) about the worrying trend of green-grabbing and how it is impacting on indigenous people.
