A Georgia woman, Ashley Wasielewski, was severely burned when an unknown assailant poured a corrosive chemical on her head in Savannahs Forsyth Park. The attack left her with second and third-degree burns, and police are searching for a suspect. The victim, a friendly woman with no known enemies, was approached from behind and felt a burning sensation as the liquid was poured over her head. The substance was so corrosive it melted a key fob in her pocket. Police are working with the FBI to identify the chemical and have increased patrols in Savannah parks. A person of interest has been identified from security footage, but no arrests have been made. The mayor assures the public theres no broader threat, and the victims family urges anyone with information to come forward.
