In this episode we discuss VO2Max after Daniel completed a test in the lab as part of a study at the University of South Australia. Daniel takes us through the protocols that go into VO2Max testing and we then discuss the ramifications for training. In today's episode our coaches delve into the world of self talk and how it can make or break your race. We look at the power of the mind, with a conversation about adopting a growth mindset versus fixed mindset.  We also talk about our own health issues as each coach has been suffering from a variety of health issues but nevertheless we find solace and strength in our running.
Ultra runners like to push themselves to new limits and levels all the time but when is it enough? Should we always be pushing to go further or faster or more wild or more technical? How do we find contentment in our running? Is the quest to go beyond our limits at the core of what it is to be an ultra runner?  In this week's episode, our coaches dig into these questions and try to figure out how to stay satisfied as a runner.
