Your lifestyle has an influence on how you communicate on a daily basis. That is why in this episode I’m going to talk about 3 aspects of your lifestyle that need to be improved for you to have better communication. The first aspect is sleep. You’ve probably heard this advice, but let me remind you again: Get enough sleep. Lack of sleep impairs your ability to think clearly and straight and might have long-term consequences in the future. Another aspect I will discuss is diet. Drink lots of water and eat healthy fats and green leafy vegetables to avoid inflammation in the body. Inflammation means more brain fogginess, which means you’ll not be as sharp as you would have been in a conversation. Keep listening to know the food you should avoid or limit your intake of, as well as the last aspect I’ll be talking about. The last point involves moving your body for you to have a feeling of peace and calm. Let’s listen to this episode and optimize your lifestyle!  Tweetable Quotes:“We all know that exercise is important. It doesn’t mean that you have to be in the gym, benching 250, or running marathons. Just 15 minutes a day getting your body moving on a  regular basis makes a huge difference.” - Greg Rice“If you’re in a bad mood and you're angry, your conversation with your wife is gonna be very different than it would have been if you came in happy and go-lucky or calm and peaceful.” - Greg RiceResources Mentioned: FREE e-course to master body language and micro-expressions to boost your EQ by 10% and sales by 20%. Building better relationships with your clients seems tricky because not all clients are the same. However, there are several general tips you can follow not only to start but also to maintain client relationships. A core principle of building better relationships is to underpromise and overdeliver, which can be exhibited when you always respond to client issues as soon as you’ve heard them.Another valuable tip is making a lasting impression at the start by doing a specific act, which for other people may look old-fashioned, but can make your client feel they are important.Tune in now and build better relationships with your clients! In this Episode:[00:01 - 02:29] Opening SegmentI introduce our topic for todayWhy you should build client relationships [02:30 - 06:34] Starting a Client Relationship Why you should set expectationsPay attention to the language they’re using Not everything has to be business-relatedKeep it light-hearted A 5-minute surprising act your clients would love[06:35 - 12:59] Maintaining a Client Relationship Keep in touch with the clientUnderpromise, overdeliverBe responsive Speak their language as much as you canLearn this advice that can make or break a client relationship [13:00 - 14:11] Closing Segment1Boost your EQ by 10% and your sales by 20%!Free e-course link belowFinal words from meTweetable Quotes:“As soon as you know there’s an issue or hear about an issue or your client brings an issue up, you wanna get on top of it immediately.” - Greg Rice“At the end of the day, it’s about valuing [your clients] as in a business relationship...just valuing them as a human being, treating them as a friend...” - Greg RiceResources mentioned: FREE e-course to master body language and micro-expressions to boost your EQ by 10% and sales by 20%. What if I tell you that you can bring an impact to another person in the first 60 seconds of your conversation? What if there’s a way for you to hook the other person’s attention in just the first 15 seconds? Chris Fenning, a coach, trainer, speaker, and author of the award-winning book, “The First Minute,” joins us today to answer these questions.Chris helps companies communicate technical subject matters more effectively with non-technical people. This is common in a business setting wherein people from different teams do not understand each other. To get everyone on the same page, what Chris suggests is to focus on the first 60 seconds of the conversation and layout these 3 components. The context is one. The intent is another. Welcome to the 100th episode of The Art of Communication! In this solo episode, I’m going to talk about a topic that is near and dear to me: Vulnerability. As leaders, we can leverage this vulnerability to teach our team to be more effective and how to show up even in situations where success is not guaranteed. It may be uncomfortable at first, but we should remember that it is never a sign of weakness. Vulnerability is a sign of strength. Being vulnerable means being strong enough to recognize what you need help with. It means being strong enough to share your struggles with others. It means admitting to yourself and to the world that you are not perfect, and it’s okay. Now, are you curious to know how to use your vulnerability as a leader? Tune in!
