The roll out of renewable heating and cooling is key to our
battle to combat climate change. Yet heat pumps generally require a lot of excavation, or bulky equipment which can be difficult to accommodate in dense urban settings.
Enerdrape has addressed this issue by exploiting latent heat
in underground spaces, such as tube stations, shopping malls and underground car parks. By connecting large thin wall-mounted panels to a heat pump, they’re able to provide renewable heating and cooling to urban spaces such as office blocks with minimal impact on the fabric of the building.
I interviewed Margaux Peltier, Founder and CEO of Enerdrape at CES on January 8th 2025.
I hope you enjoy it.

Access to Primary Care is a serious challenge in many parts of the world. In many rural communities in the developing world, a doctor could be a day’s drive away, but even in the developed world, many patients have to wait weeks for an appointment with a medical professional.
OnMed addresses this need by providing a ‘clinic in a box’ called a CareStation, which can be dropped anywhere with a mains power supply.
The CareStation provides rapid access to a ‘life sized’ medical professional as well as diagnostic tools such as a stethoscope, an infra-red thermal imager and a high-definition camera probe which can assist the medical professional in diagnosing the patient’s issues, resulting in far higher patient satisfaction than is typically the case with other telemedicine solutions. OnMed calls this Hybrid Care.
I interviewed OnMed’s CEO Karthik Ganesh at CES on the 7th January 2025.

It’s a long-held belief that blind people just can’t use maps, even to the extent that, here in the UK, maps are exempt from accessibility legislation. Brandon Biggs has changed all that. Brandon is the totally-blind Founder and CEO of XR Navigation, makers of Audiom, the world’s first inclusive map viewer. I interviewed Brandon at CES Las Vegas on January 7th 2025. In the interview, he explains the technology, why he developed it, what kind of customers the company has and how they’re using it.

Pancreatic cancer is often described as a silent killer, because there are no clear symptoms and it’s often detected when patients only have weeks left to live. Another amazing founder that I interviewed at CES on January 9th 2025 was Logan Nye of Galen Health. A medic and computer scientist, Logan and his team has devised an AI that helps predict the onset of Pancreatic Cancer much, much earlier than is typically the case today. It does this by automatically and continuously scanning medical records, looking for correlations that human medics simply do not have the time for.
In the interview, Logan explains why he chose to make this his life’s work, how the system works and how it could ultimately be applied to many other cancer types.

Macular Degeneration affects around 200 million people worldwide, slowly wiping out their vision from the centre of their field of view, gradually extending outwards until they lose their vision altogether. Neal Weinstock is a Founder and CEO of Soliddd, a company that has created digital spectacles that can give good vision back to people who have been blinded with Macular degeneration and a number of other visual impairments.
In the interview, he explains the incredible discovery he made about the way the brain assembles images and how the technology exploits this to bypass impairments in the eye.
Accessing quality educational material without an Internet connection is a major problem in remote rural villages and in schools where Internet access is banned by law. Jacques Bogh is a co-founder, COO and CFO of Beekee, creators of the "Beekee box", a tiny 'classroom in a box' which can operate without Internet access. This is currently in use in schools in countries where Internet access is outlawed and in remote regions of the world, such as in rural Africa or Asia , where schools can be isolated, or by NGOs operating in disaster zones, for example.
I interviewed Jacques at CES in Las Vegas on January 7th, 2025. In the interview, he outlines the problem that the Beekee Box is looking to address, its typical users, how it looks, how it works and what it costs.
Enjoy!

G3 Power is a novel power generation technology which makes electricity from gravity.
This is an in-person interview that I conducted with Founder and CEO of Exxell/G3 Power, Lucas Zdravkan Goreta at CES Las Vegas on January 8th 2025. In it, he gives great insight into the amazing renewable energy generation technology his company has developed; technology that generates electricity 24x7 yet does not require fossil fuels, wind or sun. Enjoy!
