Pocket-sized delivery of multimedia education material without Internet access
Description
Accessing quality educational material without an Internet connection is a major problem in remote rural villages and in schools where Internet access is banned by law. Jacques Bogh is a co-founder, COO and CFO of Beekee, creators of the "Beekee box", a tiny 'classroom in a box' which can operate without Internet access. This is currently in use in schools in countries where Internet access is outlawed and in remote regions of the world, such as in rural Africa or Asia , where schools can be isolated, or by NGOs operating in disaster zones, for example.
I interviewed Jacques at CES in Las Vegas on January 7th, 2025. In the interview, he outlines the problem that the Beekee Box is looking to address, its typical users, how it looks, how it works and what it costs.
Enjoy!
