What a fucking joke. Proud to be American because the country is open to change and grow? How high do you have to be to actually believe that. America is the least progressive western country in the world. Racism is more rampant in the USA than any other country. And the health information isn't fact. it's just opinion. I came to this podcast hoping for some health information not just a bunch of "Bros" spouting bullshit. You're very lucky to have so many listeners with such a garbage podcast. Maybe I chose the wrong episode as my first one. But it's so bad I can't possibly listen to another and will try my best to prevent others from wasting an hour of their life.

In this episode you said that being sore isn't a good way to determine if it's a good work out. What is a good way for determining if it is a good work out?

This was so awesome! I'm not much of a Peter Schiff fan as I think his extremist views have hurt a lot of investors, but his hypothesises are built on strong economic truisms. If he would only apply his hypothesises with a bit of reality on reality's terms, I believe he would develop more realistic conclusions. As is, he preaches an extremist conclusion that is not supported even by his own hypothesis. The financial institution crash of 2008 is a perfect example. His hypothesis about the upcoming crash was built of solid economic history and analysis. Then it happened in 2008 and he was proven correct. But he went to extreme in talking about the consequences after the crash, with the doomsday speeches on the crashing dollar, buying gold, etc. Just the opposite happened. I feel the same will happen this time. The aftermath will not be the doomsday scenario Schiff preaches. However, his analysis of how the markets and government /fed reserve policy for us here, as well as the position we are currently on, is spot on. Just take his predictions on the aftermath with a grain of salt as he is a doom sayer and has been proven incorrect on that part of his message time and time again. I still love listening to the guy. If he didn't go overboard with his doomsday messaging, he would be revered and his message would carry more weight in policy circles. Him dialing it back a bit would benefit the world.

WRT training in heat, the military tries to train in heat before tropical/ desert deployment to aclimatize folks. People have less chance of dehidration ( at least teaches you adequate water strategy) and heat stroke ( both limit performance in sports).

wrt food for kids. our son used to eat blueberries, vegies, ect. when an infant. their tastes change as they become toddlers and even kids. Nowadays, he is big into pretzels, rice, chicken, etc. we have to force him to eat veggies now. My wife was incredibly healthy during her pregnancy (omega 3's, salads, etc.)

I loved this episode!! I am a group instructor, and the studio I taught at before was all about beating the shit out of people and I honestly thought that's how it should be, so I followed suit. I found you guys about 6 months ago and literally listen from 7am-2pm....I play episode after episode and have learned soooo much...now I am currently pursuing my nutrition certification and I branched out and opened my own studio and what makes my girls come back, is that I do slow them down, correct form and personally take the time to help them prevent injury!! Thank you for all of the information you spill in each and every podcast as well as the humor between you all!! I am addicted!!

I started going to the gym 3x a week doing athenx 3 day full body workout. now I'm seeing incredible results but my mid section is getting bigger. it was flat and you could see my abs before now I have a pooch. my legs and arms are stronger I've put on weight and lost alot of fat in my arms and legs but what the fuck is going on with my stomach. I'm supposed to be getting leaner and stronger and more cut. my diet consists of eggs and wheat toast for breakfast then a 30g protein and around 1030. I take creatine and lots of supplements. I do the vacuum about workout and several others but I feel like I'm getting fatter. the scale says 141. wtf!!!! I rat lots of chicken vegetables and little fruit unless in a smoothie. my smoothie consists of spinach avocado bananas blueberries and strawberries and sometimes chia seeds. I eat lots of low carb foods and high protein and some fats but I'm not fucking happy. I'm getting fatter not leaner and the astestics I'm wanting is not happening . please fucking help me!!! before I go back to starving myself and lose this weight. thank you. you guys are awesome. it would be great if you could do a segment on this. I'm a first time listener to MP podcast. I've been following MP YouTube exercises and MAPS programs. The content I've experienced so far is outstanding. Like give me breakthroughs on issues I've struggled with for a decade kinda great. 34% of the way through ep 1214 episode. And not impressed. It's a total switch from my expectation. Nothing useful about fitness covered so far. Instead I get a total bro fest. I feel like I showed up for leg day, but we're doing nails.
