💁🏻 Concept: Trinity
The Trinity teaches that the one true God exists eternally as three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person is fully God, yet distinct from the others. This is not a contradiction but a divine truth revealed in Scripture. The Father plans, the Son accomplishes, and the Spirit applies salvation. The Trinity is essential to understanding God’s love, grace, and the gospel itself.
Five (5) WRONG explanations of the Trinity:
1. Egg (shell, white, yolk)
Error: Partialism
2. Water (solid, liquid, gas)
Error: Modalism
3. Sun (sun, light, heat)
Error: Arianism
4. Person (father, son, farmer)
Error: Modalism
5. Three-in-one Coffee (coffee, sugar, creamer)
Error: Tritheism
📖 Bible Readings: Matthew 28:19
(Genesis 1:1-3; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 3:16–17; Matthew 28:19; John 14:16–17; John 14:26; John 15:26; John 16:13–15; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Peter 1:2; Jude 1:20–21; John 1:1; John 1:14; John 8:58; John 10:30; John 20:28; Romans 9:5; Philippians 2:5–6; Colossians 1:15–17; Colossians 2:9; Titus 2:13; Hebrews 1:3; Hebrews 1:8; 2 Peter 1:1; Revelation 1:8; Revelation 22:12–13; Genesis 1:2; Acts 5:3–4; John 16:13; Romans 8:9–11; 1 Corinthians 2:10–11; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 1 Corinthians 6:19–20; 2 Corinthians 3:17; Ephesians 4:4-6, 30; Hebrews 9:14)

💁🏻 Concept: Trichotomy
Trichotomy teaches that humans have three parts—body, soul, and spirit. The body connects to the physical world, the soul to thoughts and emotions, and the spirit to God. However, many Christians teach Dichotomy which sees people as one unified being, often described in two parts (body and soul/spirit).
📖 Bible Readings: 1 Thessalonians 5:23
(Hebrews 4:12; Genesis 2:7; Matthew 10:28; 2 Corinthians 7:1; 1 Samuel 18:1; Revelation 6:9; Job 32:8; Ecclesiastes 12:7; 1 Corinthians 2:11; Romans 8:16; James 2:26)
👨🏻💻 Teachings:
Immaterial:
1. Spirit is the mind and emotion of a person.
2. Soul refers to the life of a person.
Material:
3. Body is the physical aspect of a person.
💪🏼 Applications:
1. Care for the physical needs of the family.
2. Consider the spiritual health of your family.
3. Consecrate yourselves for God’s purposes only.
🎙Discussion:
What is the importance of caring for your family’s physical and spiritual health?
Alternative questions:
1. What have you learned from this devotion?
2. How can you practically apply our devotion?
🙏🏼 Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for creating us in Your image. Help me to love You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. I also pray that each member of my family will learn to love You as well. Teach us to surrender every part of our being to You—body, soul, and spirit. Strengthen us to live in holiness. May my whole family learn to love You and obey You knowing that someday we will see Jesus face to face. In Christ’s most precious name, I pray, amen.

💁🏻 Concept: Transubstantiation
Some denominations teach that in the Lord’s Supper (the Eucharist), the bread and wine become Christ’s body and blood, though they still look like bread and wine. This view, called transubstantiation, claims the elements change in substance by God’s power. A more biblical view is that Christ is truly present, not physically in the elements, but spiritually—by the Spirit and through faith. The bread and wine remain bread and wine, serving as signs and seals of God’s covenant promises.
Suggested Flow:
1. Prepare the bread and wine.
2. Personal prayer: Confession of sins and remembering the cross of Christ.
3. Bread symbolizing the body of Christ.
-Read 1 Corinthians 11:23-24
-Pray thanking Jesus for sacrificing His body on the cross.
-Eat the bread together
4. Wine symbolizing the blood of Christ.
-Read 1 Corinthians 11:25-26
-Pray thanking Jesus for shedding His blood for our sins.
-Drink the wine/juice together
5. Sing together: Ang Tanging Alay Ko
📖 Bible Readings: Matthew 26:26–28
(John 6:53–56; 1 Corinthians 10:16–17; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26)
👨🏻💻 Teachings:
Three reasons to practice the Lord’s Supper:
1. Past: Revisiting the cross of Christ.
2. Present: Communion with Christ.
3. Future: Proclaiming the return of Christ.
💪🏼 Applications:
1. Convert to Christ and be baptized.
2. Confess your sins to God and to one another.
3. Commune with Christ through the Lord’s Supper.
🎙Discussion:
Why do you have to partake in the Lord’s Supper?
Alternative questions:
1. What have you learned from this devotion?
2. How can you practically apply our devotion?
🙏🏼 Prayer:
Lord God, thank You for sending Jesus—our Lord and Savior. Since Jesus commanded us to practice the Lord’s Supper, please help us to understand its importance and how it nourishes our relationship with You and with our fellow believers. Help us to see the deeper spiritual reality of Your presence. As we take the bread and cup, may we be nourished by Your grace, refreshed by Your Spirit, and assured of Your covenant promises. Keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, who gave His body and shed His blood for our salvation. In Christ’s holy name I pray, amen.

💁🏻 Concept: Transcendence of God
To say that God is transcendent means He exists above, beyond, and independent of His creation. He is not bound by time, space, or matter. Unlike His creatures, He is wholly “other” and infinitely greater than all He has made. Scripture reveals God’s transcendence in passages like Isaiah 55:8–9 “My thoughts are not your thoughts…” It reminds us that He rules over all, cannot be reduced to human categories, and deserves our awe-filled worship.
📖 Bible Readings: Isaiah 55:8–9
(Psalm 113:4–6; 1 Kings 8:27; Jeremiah 23:23–24; Acts 17:24–25)
👨🏻💻 Teachings:
Three Reasons to Trust God:
1. God is both transcendent and immanent.
2. God’s thoughts are infinitely higher.
3. God’s ways are infinitely better.
💪🏼 Applications:
1. Repent by changing your mind.
2. Rely on God’s plan and wisdom.
3. Respond with complete trust.
🎙Discussion:
How does knowing that God is infinitely wise improve our faith?
Alternative questions:
1. What have you learned from this devotion?
2. How can you practically apply our devotion?
🙏🏼 Prayer:
Almighty God, I stand in awe of Your majesty and transcendence. Your thoughts are higher than mine, and Your ways are beyond my comprehension. Thank You that though You are exalted above all creation, You graciously stoop down to love, save, and guide me. Teach me to worship You with holy reverence and to trust fully in Your sovereign wisdom. May my life bring honor to Your name, the One who is above all yet near to His people. In Jesus’ name, amen.

💁🏻 Concept: Traducianism
Traducianism is the view that the human soul, along with the body, is generated from the parents at conception. This means that both body and soul are passed down from Adam through ordinary generation, explaining why all humans inherit a sinful nature (Romans 5:12). This position contrasts with Creationism (the belief that God creates a new soul for each person directly). Traducianism accounts for original sin and humanity’s solidarity in Adam. Our souls are not created “neutral,” but we are conceived in sin (Psalm 51:5). This reminds us of the depth of our need for redemption in Christ, the Second Adam, who alone can give us new life.
📖 Bible Readings: Psalm 51:5
(Genesis 2:7; Ecclesiastes 12:7; Romans 5:12-19; Zechariah 12:1; Job 33:4; Genesis 5:3; Psalm 51:5; Hebrews 7:9–10; 1 Corinthians 15:21–22; Psalm 139:13–14; Isaiah 42:5; Numbers 16:22; Titus 2:11-12; Ephesians 2:8-9)
👨🏻💻 Teachings:
Traducianism teaches:
1. Human soul came from human parents.
2. Humans inherited Adam’s sinful nature.
3. Humans need Christ to become a new creation.
💪🏼 Applications:
1. Admit that we sin by choice and by nature.
2. Accept the free gift of salvation by faith.
3. Abide in Christ and live by God’s grace.
🎙Discussion:
Why is it important to understand that we inherit sin from Adam, and that we sin by choice and by nature?
Alternative questions:
1. What have you learned from this devotion?
2. How can you practically apply our devotion?
🙏🏼 Prayer:
Holy God, I confess that I was born in sin and shaped in iniquity. “Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.” But, thank You that through Christ, the Second Adam, You have given me new life and righteousness that I could never earn. Help me to remember the seriousness of my sinful nature, but also the greatness of Your grace that redeems and renews me. Teach me to live in the freedom of Your salvation and to walk daily in the power of Christ’s victory. In Christ’s precious name I pray, amen.

💁🏻 Concept: Total Depravity
Total Depravity, also called Total Inability, teaches that because of Adam’s fall, every part of human nature—mind, heart, will, and actions—has been corrupted by sin (Romans 3:10–12). It does not mean people are as evil as possible, but that sin affects the whole person, leaving us unable to choose God or do true good apart from divine grace. Man is spiritually dead in sin (Ephesians 2:1–3), incapable of saving himself, and utterly dependent on God’s sovereign grace in Christ. This humbles human pride and magnifies the necessity of God’s initiative in salvation.

Bible and Politics: Applying this Biblical Concept in Philippine Politics.
Three Solutions:
1. Low taxation: People must use their own money to solve their own problems.
2. Limited government: Government exists to secure justice and maintain peace and order.
3. Libertarian Constitution: A system that makes it easy for good citizens to thrive and hard for corrupt leaders to survive.
📖 Bible Readings: Romans 3:9–12
(Mark 7:21-23; Ephesians 2:1–5; Jeremiah 17:9; John 6:44; Titus 3:3–5)
👨🏻💻 Teachings:
1. Humans are created sinless and good.
2. Humans fell into sin and became slaves to it.
3. Humans can only be freed by Christ.
💪🏼 Applications:
1. Go back to God’s original plan for your life.
2. Give your all to Jesus—our Lord and Savior.
3. Guide others to Jesus—the only solution to the greatest problem of humanity.
🎙Discussion:
Why is Jesus the only solution to the greatest problem of humanity?
Alternative questions:
1. What have you learned from this devotion?
2. How can you practically apply our devotion?
🙏🏼 Prayer:
Gracious Father, You created us good and without sin, but we chose to rebel and became slaves to it. Yet in Your mercy, You sent Jesus Christ to set us free. Thank You because in Christ, I am loved, I am forgiven, I am set free. I surrender my life to Christ. Jesus is my Lord and Savior. I believe that He has the power to redeem and restore me to Your original design. Help me walk in the freedom He has given me. I pray that You will use me to guide others to the same salvation found only in Jesus. In Christ’s mighty name I pray, amen.

💁🏻 Concept: Theophany
A theophany is a visible appearance of God to reveal Himself to people. In the Old Testament, He often appeared through fire, cloud, or an angel (Genesis 18; Exodus 3:2; Judges 6:11–24). These were not His full essence, since no one can see God and live (Exodus 33:20), but gracious signs of His presence. Many theophanies are seen as Christophanies—pre-incarnate appearances of Christ (John 1:18; Hebrews 1:1–3). Ultimately, theophanies show God’s desire to make Himself known, fulfilled when the Word became flesh.

Alternative questions:
1. What have you learned from this devotion?
2. How can you practically apply our devotion?
🙏🏼 Prayer:
Lord God, You are holy, awesome, and glorious, yet You have graciously revealed Yourself to Your people. Thank You for the theophanies that prepared the way for the greatest revelation—Jesus Christ, Your Son, in whom You have made Yourself known perfectly. Help me to live in awe of Your holiness, to rest in the comfort of Your presence, and to walk in obedience to Your will. May I daily see Christ as the ultimate expression of Your glory and grace. 💁🏻 Concept: Theistic Evolution
Theistic evolution is the view that God created life through the process of evolution, guiding natural development over time to bring about all living forms. While it seeks to harmonize Scripture with modern science, this perspective often compromises the plain reading of Genesis 1–2, which presents creation as a direct act of God by His Word, not through random mutations and natural selection. God is both Creator and Sustainer, who spoke creation into existence in six days, making man in His image uniquely from the dust of the ground (Genesis 2:7). Evolution undermines the historicity of Adam, the doctrine of original sin, and ultimately the gospel of Christ as the second Adam.
📖 Bible Readings: Matthew 19:4
(Matthew 19:4-6; Genesis 1:1, 26–27; Genesis 2:7; Romans 5:12–19; 1 Corinthians 15:21–22)
👨🏻💻 Teachings:
1. The Bible gives as the true account of creation.
2. The Bible affirms the literal Adam.
3. The Bible will endure and stand the test of time.
💪🏼 Applications:
1. Do not compromise the truth of God.
2. Define gender as Jesus did.
3. Defend the biblical faith intelligently.
🎙Discussion:
Why should we never compromise the truth of God with the lies of men?
Alternative questions:
1. What have you learned from this devotion?
2. How can you practically apply our devotion?
🙏🏼 Prayer:
Sovereign Creator, You spoke, and the heavens and the earth came to be. I stand in awe of Your power and Your love that shaped me in Your image. Forgive me, Lord, for the moments I have doubted Your Word or compromised Your truth. Teach my heart to trust You completely and to treasure what You have revealed. Give me courage to stand for what is right, to honor Your design for life and creation, and to defend my faith with humility and grace. Let my life shine with Your glory and reflect the beauty of Your unchanging Word. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

💁🏻 Concept: Textual Variants
Textual variants refer to the small differences that appear among the thousands of ancient copies of Scripture. These can involve spelling, word order, or even the inclusion or omission of a phrase. While some may seem concerning at first glance, none of them change the central doctrines of the Christian faith. Instead, they show God’s providence in preserving His Word through history. The Scriptures are infallible in their original manuscripts, and that God has faithfully preserved His truth so that His people can trust the Bible as fully reliable for faith and life.
Examples of textual variants:
1. Story: Mark 16:9-20
2. Spelling: Ἰωάννης / Ἰωάνης - Johnn / John
3. Order: Jesus Christ / Christ Jesus
4. Synonyms: Jesus said / He answered

💁🏻 Concept: Teaching
In the New Testament, “teaching” refers to the Spirit-enabled ability to explain God’s Word clearly and apply it faithfully to people’s lives. This gift is essential for building up the church in truth, guarding against error, and nurturing discipleship. It is not merely about transferring information but shaping lives through Scripture. True teaching is rooted in the authority of God’s Word, empowered by the Spirit, and always centered on Christ and the gospel. Teachers are called to faithfully proclaim “the whole counsel of God” (Acts 20:27), equipping the saints for maturity and godliness.
📖 Bible Readings: 2 Peter 3:18
(Acts 2:42; Titus 2:1; James 3:1; Ephesians 4:11–15; John 14:23; Matthew 28:19–20)

💁🏻 Concept: Sex and Glory
Sex is not ultimately about human pleasure but about God’s glory. When expressed within marriage, it reflects His design of love, faithfulness, and fruitfulness. The misuse of sex dishonors Him, but the right use magnifies His wisdom and goodness. As with every part of life, sex must be lived out in a way that exalts Christ and displays the beauty of the gospel.
📖 Bible Readings: Hebrews 13:4
(1 Corinthians 10:31; Genesis 2:24–25; Proverbs 5:18–19; Hebrews 13:4; Colossians 3:5; Ephesians 5:31–32; Colossians 3:17; Romans 12:1)

💁🏻 Concept: Sex and Lordship
Sex is not an area of life that stands apart from Christ’s authority. As Lord, He calls us to submit every thought, desire, and action—including our sexuality—to His rule. When sex is lived under His Lordship, it becomes an act of worship, reflecting purity, faithfulness, and covenant love. Outside His Lordship, it leads to distortion and destruction.
📖 Bible Readings: 1 Corinthians 6:19–20
(Colossians 3:17; Romans 12:1–2; Philippians 2:9–11; 1 Thessalonians 4:3–5; Ephesians 5:3–5; Hebrews 13:4)
👨🏻💻 Teachings:
1. Sex is not a domain outside of Christ’s Lordship.
2. Sanctification is God’s will under Christ’s Lordship.
3. Surrender is the only response to Christ’s Lordship.
💪🏼 Applications:
1. Surrender your desires daily to Christ’s Lordship.
2. Separate from practices that dishonor His name.
3. Seek to glorify Christ in every area of intimacy.
🎙Discussion:
How does recognizing Christ’s Lordship change the way we view sex?
Alternative questions:
1. What have you learned from this devotion?
2. How can you practically apply our devotion?
🙏🏼 Prayer:
Lord God, I confess that every part of my life, including my sexuality, belongs to You. Teach me to honor You not just in words but in the secret places of my heart. Protect me from the lies of the world that separate sex from Your authority. Purify my desires so they reflect Your holiness. Help me to live as a faithful steward of the body You gave me. May my intimacy always glorify You and reflect the love of Christ for His church. Lead me to walk in purity, obedience, and joy under the Lordship of Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

💁🏻 Concept: Sex and Freedom
God designed sex to be a gift enjoyed within the covenant of marriage. Sin, however, distorts this gift, turning it into bondage and shame. True freedom is not found in indulging sinful desires but in surrendering them to Christ. In Him, we are set free from slavery to lust and enabled to honor God with our bodies.
📖 Bible Readings: John 8:10-11
(1 Corinthians 6:18–20; Galatians 5:1; Romans 6:12–14, 12:2; Colossians 3:5; 1 Thessalonians 4:3–5; 2 Timothy 2:22)
👨🏻💻 Teachings:
1. Christ sets us free from sins and shame.
2. Christ sets us free from condemnation.
3. Christ sets us free to live for God.
💪🏼 Applications:
Three steps to freedom:
1. Renew your mind and lifestyle.
2. Rely on the power of the Spirit.
3. Revisit the cross of Christ.

Teach me to honor You with my body and to find joy in purity. May my freedom not be for selfish desire, but for loving and serving You. 💁🏻 Concept: Sex and Addiction
Sex is God’s gift, but sin can twist it into slavery. Addiction to sexual sin—whether lust, pornography, or immorality—distorts intimacy and destroys relationships. Instead of reflecting God’s covenant, it enslaves the body and mind, leaving emptiness. True freedom comes only through Christ, who redeems and restores our desires.
📖 Bible Readings: 1 Corinthians 6:13
(Proverbs 5:22; John 8:34–36; Galatians 5:1; Romans 6:12–14; 2 Timothy 2:22; James 1:14–15)
👨🏻💻 Teachings:
1. Porneia corrupts the mind.
2. Porneia enslaves the heart.
3. Porneia destroys the body.
💪🏼 Applications:
Break the chains of addiction:
1. Flee from porneia at all costs.
2. Form an accountability group.
3. Fight through the cross of Christ.
🎙Discussion:
What steps can we take to break free from the chains of sexual addiction?
Alternative questions:
1. What have you learned from this devotion?
2. How can you practically apply our devotion?
🙏🏼 Prayer:
Lord God, I confess that sexual sin can enslave and destroy what You created for good. Guard my heart from every temptation that seeks to control me. Help me to flee from lust and to pursue holiness with courage. Remind me that my body is Yours, redeemed by Your blood. Strengthen me to resist the lies of the enemy and to walk in the Spirit. Surround me with brothers and sisters who will encourage me in purity. Fill me with Your grace so that I may live in freedom. It is my desire to honor You in my thought, word, and deed. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

💁🏻 Concept: Sex and Perversion
God created sex to be pure, joyful, and life-giving, but sin corrupted it through lust, adultery, and immorality. The Fall distorted God’s design, turning intimacy into idolatry and selfish indulgence (Romans 1:24–25). Instead of reflecting covenant love, perverted sex enslaves the heart and dishonors the body, which was meant to glorify God.
📖 Bible Readings: Leviticus 18
(Genesis 3:6–7; Romans 1:24–25; Leviticus 18:1–5; 2 Samuel 11:2–4; 1 Corinthians 6:18–20; Galatians 5:19–21; Colossians 3:5)
👨🏻💻 Teachings:
1. The only valid sex is within marriage.
2. The distortion of sex is called porneia.
3. The Lord hates porneia, and so should we.
💪🏼 Applications:
1. Flee from every form of sexual immorality.
2. Fight temptation by refusing to negotiate.
3. Fix your eyes on Christ and be busy.
🎙Discussion:
Why is it better to tell the truth that God hates porneia than to be silent?
Alternative questions:
1. What have you learned from this devotion?
2. How can you practically apply our devotion?
🙏🏼 Prayer:
Lord God, I confess that sin has twisted what You made holy. Too often the world celebrates and promotes perversion of sex instead of purity. Protect my mind and heart from lust and from every temptation that dishonors You. Remind me that my body is a temple of the Holy Spirit and belongs to You. Help me to turn away from secret sins and to walk in holiness. Cleanse me with the blood of Jesus and restore in me a pure heart. May my life reflect Your design, not the world’s distortion. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

💁🏻 Concept: Systematic Theology
Systematic theology is the careful study that asks, “What does the whole Bible teach us today?” about any given topic. Unlike a mere collection of verses, it organizes biblical truth into a unified system that helps us understand God, His works, and His will in a consistent way. From creation to salvation, the whole counsel of God speaks with harmony. Scripture alone is our ultimate authority, this means that systematic theology must flow from the unity of God’s Word, centered on Christ and His redemptive work. It equips believers to think biblically, live faithfully, and guard against error.
📖 Bible Readings: Luke 24:27, 44
(2 Timothy 3:16-17; Acts 20:27; Isaiah 55:11; Hebrews 13:8; Ephesians 4:11–14)
👨🏻💻 Teachings:
1. The Bible is meant to be understood as a whole.
2. The aim is to grow in the knowledge of God.
3. The goal is to obey and glorify God.
💪🏼 Applications:
1. Read all and not just bits and pieces.
2. Test your belief in light of the whole Bible.
3. Know Jesus from Genesis to Revelation.
🎙Discussion:
Why is it important that we study not just parts of the Bible, but its whole message systematically?
Alternative questions:
1. What have you learned from this devotion?
2. How can you practically apply our devotion?
🙏🏼 Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us Your Word as a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Teach me to love not just portions of Scripture, but to see its full harmony that points me to Christ. I pray that You will enable me to discover Your truth. I want to know You more and grow in my relationship with You. It is also my deepest desire to obey and glorify You. I am Yours. Use me for Your honor. In Jesus’ name, amen!

💁🏻 Concept: Summary Attributes
God’s attributes of perfection, blessedness, beauty, and glory are called summary attributes because they encompass and evaluate all of God’s other attributes as a unified whole. His perfection means He lacks nothing and possesses every excellence fully. His blessedness shows that God is eternally happy and satisfied in Himself. His beauty reveals the harmony of all His perfections shining together. And His glory is the radiant display of all that He is. These attributes highlight God’s absolute self-sufficiency, eternal delight in Himself, and the supreme worthiness of His being to be loved, worshiped, and enjoyed forever.
