💁🏻 Concept: Teaching

In the New Testament, “teaching” refers to the Spirit-enabled ability to explain God’s Word clearly and apply it faithfully to people’s lives. This gift is essential for building up the church in truth, guarding against error, and nurturing discipleship. It is not merely about transferring information but shaping lives through Scripture. True teaching is rooted in the authority of God’s Word, empowered by the Spirit, and always centered on Christ and the gospel. Teachers are called to faithfully proclaim “the whole counsel of God” (Acts 20:27 ), equipping the saints for maturity and godliness.

📖 Bible Readings: 2 Peter 3:18

1. Teaching biblically produces biblical Christians.

2. Teaching to obey Christ is the core of discipleship.

2. Teach to make people obedient to Christ.

3. Teach to mold people into Christlikeness.

🙏🏼 Prayer:

Gracious Lord, thank You for giving teachers to Your church who faithfully open and explain Your Word. Help me to treasure Your truth, grow in sound doctrine, and live a life shaped by Scripture. Guard me from error, and make me a vessel who can also encourage others through Your Word. May Christ always be at the center of all teaching and learning. In Christ’s name I pray, amen.
