How do you start making content if you don't want to be on camera? Many people are afraid to make videos because of this. So, what can you do about it? Joni Uutela has a great solution. He started WITHOUT it. Today, Joni is streaming his face and voice to thousands of people when he is gaming, but 10 years ago, Joni was shy about being on camera. He talked to his audience using only his voice and the chat box section. In the beginning, it worked! The initial success of getting people to listen and join his stream started to motivate him to take the next step. He realized that if people liked him for his personality without a camera, he probably would do even better with one. And he did. So, if you are a camera-shy person, Joni suggests starting by using an avatar like an animal or anime character, interacting with the audience with your voice and chatting to build a connection. Then, adding a camera to take your content to another level. The camera may not change viewers at first, but it helps people recognize and trust you easily. Joni also recommends hiding the viewer numbers to takes the pressure off and allows you to focus on being yourself especially in the early stage. The content should be as concise as possible since "less time, more content" is what people want to watch, and produce them in a high volume (even with few viewers) will help you learn about your audience much quicker. There is more to the story than fits in a post, so hear the rest in the podcast! In this talk, you'll learn more about: 1. Where to start if you are a camera-shy creator 2. How to get comfortable in front of the camera 3. What kind of videos your audience wants 4. How to make your videos stand out 5. What's the best device to create your content (cost-friendly yet best quality) 6. How to make "making videos" not a burden 7. Tips to get more people to watch you on streaming platforms 8. And so on So, if you're a streamer, marketer, business leader, or someone loves new content ideas but doesn't like being on camera, this episode is made for you. Listen to get ideas, advice, and a friendly chat with us to find the best way for you and your team to make great videos.😄 _________________________________________________ WHO AM I? Content = 🏪 ?Back in the day, people were out and about, looking at billboards and storefronts. Not anymore. At least not as much.Because they spend 2 to 4 hours on average on their phones (or more!)That is why content makes more sense today than ever before, it allows you to get noticed by your customers. ✅This episode is a bit different than my usual ones since here, I am getting interviewed here by Joe Lemon, the host of the sales culture podcast channel. Here, we will go through topics related to authentic content production, and there are some big takeaways in this short episode: 👉 Repurposing wastes more time, instead, make more shorts which will help you grow your content volume in a short time. 👉 You don’t need to sell anything in your content; just give free advice. Your content will be consumed if people can learn something from it. 👉Get some ideas for content creation from other companies like Laavu, Vilpe, and many more. 👉AI cannot be a solution every time, sometimes they just mess up and waste time instead of saving it. 👉Content helps to make things interesting, so boring companies eg: manufacturing or industrial, should be doing content to attract customers since you are the only one doing content. _________________________________________________ WHO AM I?I’m Rasmus Basilier, CEO of The Authentic Content, based in Finland. Are you a beginner in content creation and find it hard to engage your audience? In this episode, we delved deep into content-making strategy with Martin Koskei, CEO of Kiki’s Home Box, a start-up company. If you still want to become more active on your social media platforms and find your way to begin, then this episode is going to help you. Because here, we talk about: 1. Promoting category: You don’t promote your product, but you promote the category. You need to show your audience why the current way of doing things is not working and what the new way of doing things is. This is how you create the desire for a solution. 2. Algorithm: Make content that is interesting to your customers; if your audience swipes your content, the algorithm will stop showing it in their feed. 3. Customer segmentation: You should make different content based on the different types of customers you have. If you keep making the same content for various customer bases, you will lose. 4. LinkedIn: The LinkedIn algorithm works differently than other social media platforms. You need to make content, connect people, and comment on others’ posts. This is how your content will be shown in your connections’ newsfeeds. 5. Content ideas: What type of content can you start making? Simply start by sharing free advice and teaching people what you are good at. If your advice is good, people will listen to it and they will keep coming back to your content. Apart from these, you can get ideas about what content management tools need to be used and how AI can help in repurposing; however, the most important thing is to GET STARTED. Once you start creating content, the rest of the problems will also be sorted out. You just need to start. Welcome to our The Authentic Content Podcast hosted by Rasmus Basilier. Here we talk about creating authentic content that helps B2B businesses, and marketers to be Known, Liked, and Trusted in their market. Each idea will be explained with relevant and practical case studies for easier understanding. Who is Rasmus Basilier? Rasmus Basilier is the CEO of The Authentic Content, based in Finland. Substance matters more than gear. Plus, you'll learn some affordable but valuable equipment that I'm using (even though I say its' not important) on my content creation journey so you can consider trying it out 🙂 There are two common ways people approach production quality. 1. Those who start creating content with basic equipment 2. Or, those who get caught up in trying to match the pros, thinking they need the latest gadgets to be at a "good level" But here's the deal - you don't need a fancy setup to get started. Take Peter Zeihan, for example, with his 500,000 followers. He records with just his smartphone while hiking up a mountain. He's all about content substance. 💡What really matters is delivering value through your content. Good audio and lighting can enhance it, but they're not actually important. As long as I can hear you and see you. So, don't let the lack of equipment hold you back. Start recording, and you can always upgrade as you go. (even though it's not important, you will probably still do it ;) ) If you find it interesting, please don't forget to follow our channel. Why they started making content and how helpful it was for them. 2. How writing on LinkedIn can be a good way to start expressing yourself. Joonas Korgan writes 6-10 LinkedIn posts and he expresses his feelings without any filter through writing. 3. Do not process your content too much, it can slow you down, just share useful information through your content. 4. Document your journey, create personal branding, be yourself, and share your unique perspective to the world. 5. You might feel silly at the beginning of making content, but once you start to see the results, you will know that it was worth it. ____________________________________ WHO AM I?I’m Rasmus Basilier, CEO of The Authentic Content, based in Finland. Isn’t it frustrating that you have a good product or service, but still people don’t want to buy from you? It happens because they don’t have any desire to buy your product. In this episode, Rasmus will discuss how you create a desire for your product and why authentic content methods should be a part of your demand-generation strategy. First, you must change your customers’ perspectives. You don’t promote your product, but you promote the category. You need to show them why the current way of doing things is not working and what is the new way of doing things. This is how you create the desire for a solution. And if you are the one helping them to reframe their perspective, they will likely want to buy from you. Welcome to our The Authentic Content Podcast hosted by Rasmus Basilier. Here we talk about creating authentic content that helps B2B businesses, and marketers to be Known, Liked, and Trusted in their market.
