Kultig, kultiger, Yok Yok. Der Kiosk direkt gegenüber vom Hauptbahnhof mit seinen über 200 Biersorten ist eine Frankfurter Institution. Sein Betreiber Nazim Alemdar setzt sich jeden Tag mit sehr viel Herzblut dafür ein, dass alle seine Gäste sich bei ihm und im Bahnhofsviertel wohl fühlen. Ich habe mit ihm darüber gesprochen, wie er aus seiner Herkunftsstadt Ankara nach Frankfurt kam, wie das Yok Yok zu dem wurde, was es ist, über Fremdenfeindlichkeit und Integration, über Nachhaltigkeit und Safe Spaces und warum es seine Lebensphilosophie ist, anderen zu helfen.

Gude and Merhaba! Welcome to this episode of Global Village 069 - The World at Home in Frankfurt!

Yok Yok is one of Frankfurt’s most iconic spots. The kiosk directly opposite the Central Station with over 200 types of beer is a Frankfurt institution. Every day, its owner Nazim Alemdar puts his heart and soul into making sure that all his guests feel at home here and in the Central Station District. I spoke to him about how he came to Frankfurt from his birth town of Ankara, how Yok Yok became what it is, about xenophobia and integration, about sustainability and safe spaces and why helping others is the cornerstone of his life philosophy.
