17. Celebrating the too-much woman: How to live without apology
Description
There’s something all too-much women have in common, and that’s the discomfort they create for patriarchy. Today on the podcast, if you relate or you have a too-much woman in your life that you love, I want to share with you how and why it’s time we celebrate what it means to be too much and begin to see how the health of humanity and the planet requires us to take up space as leaders of this new frontier.
There’s a lot to be said for women playing an integral part in the healing of these ancient wounds to the feminine body and psyche. It’s us that ultimately need to get super real about how we might be keeping the stigma of the too-much woman alive in society by buying into pre-conditioned, outdated ideas that were designed to keep women controlled and quiet and obliging to the patriarchal objectives.
Here’s what I cover this week:
+ Who is the too-much woman and why have we been taught to despise her?
+ Why women claiming the fullness of their expression is a major threat to patriarchy (and why this is good news for everyone)
+ The 3 major themes that qualify a woman as “too much” in a society that seeks to tame her
+ The steps can we take towards owning and celebrating our too-muchness and supporting others to take up space in theirs
