What is a political party? What is the role of the party?
The reality is that ALL political parties serve the interests of a social force, or class in society.
The democratic and republican parties are both political parties that serve the interests of the white ruling class exclusively by carrying out colonial policies in the form of budget cuts, police containment and imperialist wars of aggression. At the same time, the African working class is in need of a political party which serves our selfish interests - to carry out a revolutionary program. The African People's Socialist Party (APSP) is such a party of these times.
During the next episode of African Resistance Now we will discuss the historical role of the Revolutionary Party of the African working class.
This show takes on special significance as we enter the year 2012, marking the 40th anniversary of the APSP - a party founded with the mission of rebuilding and completing the Black Power Revolution of the 1960's. Through the next several episodes of ARN, InPDUM aims to win maximum participation in the APSP's upcoming plenary.
