Marriage is about two people working together to accomplish a purpose; it's not about two people making each other their purpose. If you live for your marriage, you will be disillusioned. If you live to lay your life down for the cause of the gospel, your marriage will thrive. There's a reason why couples fight and bicker, and the reason isn't about personality differences or disagreements. People who are aimless will find themselves disconcerted and irritable. Why? God created us to conquer. If we aren't conquering the devil, we will try to conquer each other!
