A reading from the holy Gospel according to Mark
恭读圣马尔谷福音 1：14-20

After John had been arrested,
若翰被监禁后，

Jesus came to Galilee proclaiming the gospel of God:
耶稣来到加里肋亚，宣讲天主的福音，说：

“This is the time of fulfillment.
“时期已满，

The kingdom of God is at hand.
天主的国临近了，

Repent, and believe in the gospel.”
你们悔改，信从福音吧！”

As he passed by the Sea of Galilee,
当耶稣沿着加里肋亚海行走时，

he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting their nets into the sea;
看见西满和西满的兄弟安德肋，在海里撒网；

they were fishermen.
他们原是渔夫。

Jesus said to them,
耶稣向他们说：

“Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
“来跟随我！我要使你们成为渔人的渔夫。”

Then they abandoned their nets and followed him.
他们便立刻丢下网，跟随了耶稣。

He walked along a little farther
耶稣向前行了不远，

and saw James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John.
看见载伯德的儿子雅各伯和他的弟弟若望，

They too were in a boat mending their nets.
正在船上修网。

Then he called them.
耶稣于是立即召叫他们；

So they left their father Zebedee in the boat
他们就把自己的父亲载伯德和佣工们，撇在船上，

along with the hired men and followed him.

I am glad to be with you today to read the gospel.

One beautiful verse from this passage is,
这篇福音中，优美的一段话是：

Jesus said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
耶稣向他们说：“来跟随我！我要使你们成为渔人的渔夫。”

Then they abandoned their nets and followed him.
他们便立刻丢下网，跟随了耶稣。

 Abandoned means to let go, do not worry about. 
丢下意味着放手、不要担心。

To be a Fisher of men means that Jesus is asking these men to stop their earthly work of catching fish from the sea, and instead, to go seek out men or men and women, to invite them to know Jesus. 
成为渔人的渔夫意味着，耶稣要他们放下世俗的工作，不再从海中捕鱼，而是去寻找人，即男人、女人，邀请他们认识耶稣。

Jesus gives these fishermen the invitation: Come after me. Come be with me. And then I will make you or I will give you the grace to invite other people to also follow Jesus. 
耶稣向渔夫们发出一项邀请，即：来，跟随我，我要使你们，或我要赐给你们一项恩宠，同样邀请他人来跟随耶稣。

These fishermen then have the choice to abandon or to leave behind their nets, their worldly concerns and to follow Jesus instead.
这些渔夫们可以选择丢下网，即他们世俗的挂念，去追随耶稣。

And that's what they chose to do. That's what Jesus invites us to do today. 
他们正是这样做的。这也是今天，耶稣邀请我们去做的。
