A reading from the Holy Gospel of John
恭读圣若望福音17:11-19

Lifting up his eyes to heaven, Jesus prayed saying:
“Holy Father, keep them in your name that you have given me,
so that they may be one just as we are one.
耶稣讲完了这些话，便举目向天说：
“圣父啊！求你因你的名，保全那些你所赐给我的人，
使他们合而为一，正如我们一样。

When I was with them I protected them in your name that you gave me,
and I guarded them, and none of them was lost
except the son of destruction,
in order that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
当我和他们同在时，我因你的名，保全了你所赐给我的人，
护卫了他们，其中除了那丧亡之子，没有丧亡一个，
这是为应验经上的话。

But now I am coming to you.
I speak this in the world
so that they may share my joy completely.
但如今我到你那里去，
我在世上讲这话，
是为叫他们的心充满我的喜乐。

I gave them your word, and the world hated them,
because they do not belong to the world
any more than I belong to the world.
我已将你的话授给了他们，世界却憎恨他们，
因为他们不属于世界，
就如我不属于世界一样。

I do not ask that you take them out of the world
but that you keep them from the evil one.
我不求你将他们从世界上撤去，
只求你保护他们脱免邪恶。

They do not belong to the world
any more than I belong to the world.
他们不属于世界，
就如我不属于世界一样。

Consecrate them in the truth. Your word is truth.
求你以真理祝圣他们；
你的话就是真理。

As you sent me into the world,
so I sent them into the world.
就如你派遣我到世界上来，
照样我也派遣他们到世界上去。

And I consecrate myself for them,
so that they also may be consecrated in truth.”
我为他们祝圣我自己，
为叫他们也因真理而被祝圣。”

圣父啊！求你因你的名，保全那些你所赐给我的那些人，使他们合而为一，如同我们一样。

福音讲解

The above gospel passage, most specifically the sentence we studied, is Jesus praying to God for us.
从今天的福音中，特别是我们所学的选句里，我们可以看到耶稣在为我们向天父祈祷。

He knows He is returning to heaven and so is asking God to strengthen all of us, His followers.  
他知道他要回到天堂，所以他请求天父坚固我们的信仰。

He knows the world is difficult for anyone who wants to follow Him, there are always temptations, but with God’s grace, we can overcome the temptations and live our lives as Jesus did, for God.  
他知道这个世界对任何想要跟随他的人来说都是艰难的，诱惑时常存在，但因着天主的恩典，我们就可以像耶稣一样，战胜诱惑，为天主而活。

We must avoid temptation and trust God and His will for our lives.  
我们要谨慎，免得陷于诱惑，并且信靠天主，顺从祂的旨意。

Jesus, through His death, made it possible for us to be filled with God’s grace, we need only love and trust.
耶稣藉着他的圣死，使我们沐浴天主的恩宠，我们只需要去爱和信靠他。
