Kent Stones is advocating for local food unity in Kansas City. Through deep personal experience and motivation he is leveraging community engagement, collaboration, education, sustainability, and social capital as methods to increase the percentage of local, nutritious food that Kansas Citians eat.
Kent is the Founder of KC Foodways, Founder of National Alliance of Local Food Providers, and an Adjunct Professor at Johnson County Community College. The NALFP will be officially launching in the first quarter of 2024 with a campaign. He makes a strong case for organizing, streamlining, and making information about local food providers more easily accessible.
