Et: Arvo astub vaiksete sammudega läbi purunenud vanalinna.
En: Arvo steps with quiet footsteps through the ruined old town.

Et: Sügise lehed krõbisevad tema jalgade all.
En: The autumn leaves crunch under his feet.

Et: Taevas on hall ja ähvardab vihmaga.
En: The sky is gray and threatening rain.

Et: Maarja kõnnib tema kõrval, nägu täis lootust, samas kui Kersti vaatab kahtlevalt ringi.
En: Maarja walks beside him, her face full of hope, while Kersti looks around doubtfully.
