B6 supplement sales face new restrictions
Update: 2025-11-26
Description
Sales of supplements with high levels of vitamin B6 are being restricted by the drugs regulator to limit the risk of nerve damage from long-term consumption. Products containing more than 50 milligrams will require pharmacist approval, while daily doses exceeding 200 milligrams will need a prescription. The regulatory changes take effect in June 2027.
