The Pennsylvania Case Law Update While You Drive Podcast provides an update in 20 minutes or less, of all precedential cases published in the Pennsylvania Superior Court, The Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court and The Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Episode 19 covers cases published between October 21, 2020 and October 26, 2020. 

The courts were very busy this week. The Supreme Court handed down several cases, including a case addressing signatures on mail in ballots, the requisite manner for determining if someone was intellectually disabled in regards to a death penalty case, as well as two cases addressing the independent source doctrine. In the Commonwealth Court this week, we have a case addressing the jurisdiction of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, Retirement Compensation and an evaluation of self-employment for purposes of unemployment compensation. The Superior Court in a number of criminal cases addressed constitutionality of SORNA and the implications on reputation, hearsay at a preliminary hearing and the inevitable discovery doctrine. The court also announced several civil litigation cases.
