On this episode of The Life of Phys Podcast, I sit down with Larry Everage, a New Orleans based photographer whose work is deeply rooted in the city’s culture, history, and community.

Influenced by a family of avid photographers, Larry has carried forward the tradition of visual storytelling, using his lens to honor both New Orleans’ heritage and its vibrant present. His photographs reflect resilience, identity, and a love for the place he has always called home.

Larry has been recognized with both a NOLA Millennial Award and the Dillard University 40 Under 40 Award for his impact and contributions to the arts. In 2024, two of his images were selected for the acclaimed “Seeing Black” exhibit and book, and his photography is also included in the permanent collection at the New Orleans African American Museum.
