Ep #96 Empathy, Presence, Connection
Description
I'm sharing practical insights on building connection with children through empathy, presence, and truly seeing and hearing them. I share one of my favorite poems of all time by John Rodel. It doesn't have a title but I call it “The Tear Catcher.” This poem captures the power of being there without trying to fix, showing how empathy can create a lasting bond between parents and kids. I'm going to share with you the Seen and Heard Approach and explain how “Stop, Drop, and Roll” can help you pause and be present, especially during emotional or challenging moments. Let's replace traditional discipline tools with practices that make children feel secure and understood.
