Banana Old Fashioned
Glass: Double Rocks Glass
Garnish: Banana slice, banana chip, candied banana (your call)
Directions & Ingredients
To make Banana Simple Syrup
In sauce pan add:
- 1/2 sliced banana (riper the better)
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. water
Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, remove from heat, and let cool to room temperature. Strain through cheesecloth into an airtight container and store in the refrigerator (up to 3 weeks; add 1.5 oz of Vodka to get a few more weeks of storage).
In mixing glass add:
- 2.0 oz Bourbon (Elija Craig Toasted Barrel)
- 0.33 oz (or 2 tsp) to taste
- 2.0 dashes of bitters (chocolate and/or walnut or Angostura)
- [If making in glass] 0.5 oz cold water
Stir for 20 –30 rotations
Strain over ice in rocks glass
Garnish, if desired, with banana chip

Espresso Old Fashioned
Glass: Rocks Glass
Garnish: Espresso beans
Directions & Ingredients
In mixing glass add:
- 1oz espresso chilled 2oz bourbon
- 0.5oz demerara syrup
- 2-3 dashes Pecan bitters
Stir in a mixing glass for approx. 20 seconds.
Strain into a rocks glass over a large cube
Add 3 espresso beans, health, wealth, and happiness!
