After trying to get the rights to do a movie with either Batman or The Shadow and getting turned down, Evil Dead creator Sam Raimi decided to create his own kind of superhero in the form of Darkman. Darkman tells the stoty of poor Peyton Westlake, who is just trying to find a formula for synthetic skin when he is blown up by the evil finger collecting thug Robert Duran. With next to no skin left on his face, Westlake must find a way to finish the synthetic skin formula in order to reunite with the love of his life, Julie. Oh and he's also slowly going insane due to nerves being cut somewhere in his brain by doctors... Did Sam Raimi have what it takes to create his very own kind of hero or should he stick to adapting characters that are already established? Join Brandon and Effin Stephan to find out!
